Gannet x Large Engraved Acacia Board

A beautifully engraved Australasian gannet, captured mid‑flight in smooth, intentional linework on warm acacia wood. The artwork is based on a photo taken at the Muriwai gannet colony, where these birds gather before undertaking their impressive seasonal movements across the Tasman Sea. Their annual return is iconic — a rhythm of migration that brings a sense of freedom, distance, and coastal energy to this piece.

This 38 × 24.3 × 1.6 cm board is both food‑safe and display‑ready, making it perfect for serving, grazing, styling, or showcasing as a statement piece in your home. It’s larger than our previous boards, reflected in the final price — and as always, these engraved pieces tend to get snapped up fast.

Each board is engraved and finished in our New Zealand studio, with the acacia wood itself sourced externally. The natural grain means every piece is unique, with its own patterning and personality — no two boards will ever be identical.

The rectangular cut‑out handle adds a modern touch, while the engraving sits boldly across the surface, making this board ideal for serving, grazing, or display. Small‑batch, individually engraved, and full of character.

A graceful, coastal‑coded celebration of the Australasian gannet — crafted with detail, intention, and Wild SASS flair.
